Personalised support
Focused support across the primary years.
The content and emphasis are shaped around the child. Coaching may focus deeply on one area or connect learning across several areas as priorities develop.
English
Build the knowledge and skills that make reading and writing work.
Support may include reading, phonics, fluency, comprehension, writing, spelling and vocabulary. The emphasis depends on what the child already understands, what is getting in the way and what they are ready to learn next.
Mathematics
Develop understanding, fluency and the confidence to reason.
Coaching may focus on number sense, fluency, conceptual understanding, reasoning and problem solving. The aim is not only to get answers, but to build connected understanding that can be used flexibly.
Extension & Academic Goals
Challenge matched to readiness, not simply more work.
Support may include academic extension, targeted support and personalised preparation for significant learning goals, including NAPLAN or selective academic pathways where these align with the child’s strengths, readiness and broader development.
Broader Primary Learning
Connect learning across the wider primary curriculum when it matters.
Some children benefit from support that crosses subject boundaries. Broader primary learning can be included where it aligns with the child’s needs, interests and goals.
Who JW Learning may suit
A more personal approach may help when…
Important knowledge or skills need to be revisited carefully and connected.
The child needs success, clarity and support to rebuild trust in their own capability.
The child is ready to think more deeply, make connections and move beyond routine work.
Your family values teaching shaped around the individual rather than a pre-set sequence.
Not sure which area fits?
Start with your child, not a category.
A Discovery Conversation is a chance to talk about what you have noticed and what you hope support will achieve.
